KTM "slip" at the end of the first half of this year. Austrian motorcycle brand announced a massive improvement campaign (recall) at the 1228 North American motorcycle because it indicated problems on the handlebars is not stable.

As reported by the NHTSA website (06/04/2011), KTM models are subject to recall were 570S FE, FS 570, 450 EXC, 530 EXC (the fourth is a production of 2011), and 690 ENDURO R (2010-2011). When driven, the bike handlebars as not "bound" perfectly with the upper triangle thus potentially causing an accident, endangering other motorists, or the worst result in death.

KTM has ordered all the marketing and service network in North America to contact existing customers. Improvements will be made free of charge, starting in June 2011.
