Crazy! Holden Car Components Worth Rp. 24 Billion Stolen

Holden car parts worth more than U.S. $ 2.5 million or approximately USD 24 billion has been stolen from its assembly plant in South Australia. Various parts of the car such as the engine to the gearbox gone unnoticed by Holden.

Reports Sunday Mail and The Advertiser quoted caradvice say that many of the missing car components Holden Holden production facility in Elizabeth, South Australia.


Local police are investigating the case since last January after the discovery of the stolen V8 engine by Elizabeth Crime Investigation Branch (CIB) in the suburbs of Adelaide.


Car parts found was estimated to have a price of U.S. $ 10,000 and was sold to a local car club through buying and selling on the internet site.


But uniquely, Holden admitted that they were not aware of the theft in their plants and the automaker also admitted that they did not have an effective tracking system for goods output.


Even so, South Australia Holden Manager Sean Poppitt said that theft in very large numbers until now has not been interfering with the production of their cars at the factory.
